As part of the organization’s activities, a special election platform was organized in the Soran Independent Administration, with the participation of 26 public figures, civil society organizations, and representatives of government ministries.

The platform discussed women’s participation in decision-making positions, the cultural differences between women and men, and the impact of the quota system, examining the extent to which the quota serves women’s interests in elections.

This activity was part of the project Encouraging Women’s Participation in Elections, implemented with the financial support of Women for Women International and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

It is also part of the NISSAM project, which aims to encourage women to vote for female candidates in elections.

The platform was led by two specialized trainers in the field of women’s affairs:
• Mss Wahbia Zrar – Lawyer and women’s rights activist.
• Mss Shahla Hussein – Sociologist and expert in women’s rights.
